Drip line between lavender plants

Irrigation and lighting

Drip lines on smart controllers, and low lights that make the garden usable after dark.

Duration
Three days to two weeks
Areas
Sagunto to Dénia

Water is the one thing every garden on this coast is short of. Matteo Bassi and the irrigation crew design systems that give each plant what it needs and nothing more.

The lighting follows the same idea: a few warm lights in the right places, so you see the garden at night and not the lamps.

What is included

  • Drip lines by zone, sized to each plant
  • Controllers that follow the weather
  • Rainwater tanks and greywater where allowed
  • Low voltage lighting for paths, trees and terraces
  • Repairs and upgrades to old systems
  • Seasonal schedule changes

How it goes

  1. Audit

Every zone run and measured, with a note of what is wasted.

  2. Layout

A plan of lines, valves and lights, drawn with the planting.

  3. Install

Lines buried, controllers set, lights aimed after dark.

  4. Tuning

A visit after a month to adjust timings to how the plants are doing.

About irrigation and lighting

All questions

What people ask on the first visit.

How much water does drip save?

On our care gardens, less than half of what a sprinkler lawn the same size uses, measured over a full summer.

Can I control it from my phone?

Yes. The controllers we install can be checked and paused from a phone, and follow the local weather on their own.

Will the lights bother the neighbours?

No. We use low, warm lights aimed at trees and paths, never at the sky or over the wall.
